Digipak

This is the final digipak version I created with some inspiration from some CD's.

The front cover of the too the longest to make because i had to think of a concept oh to market Lil D. I thought of many different possible cover designs but i choose to use this one because it seemed the most feminine and also it did not look like most of the album covers designs used by most artists. The front cover is also good because it actually uses the same colours that are used on the website and this shows consistency.

This image was originally the one which I originally created to use as the main front cover but then i changed it because I did not save the PhotoShop version which meant i could not edit to put the album name and i could not redo the image. The picture of Danieille a.k.a Lil D I used a range of effects. I used threshold and coloured and it and got a good effect. This image would be used as the centre fold out and would be two pages wide.

For part of the digi-pak I had to create the back half of the cover. I created this design to help show the basic designs that artists might like and I created the design with the lips to last through out the whole digi-pak and also I picked girly items throughout the different designs.

The CD design I feel it is very basic. I felt that i could have improved on the design more making is stand out more but I could not thing of ways it could be changed to be better and with feedback I found out that it is suitable.

This cover was designed to seat on the directly behind the CD. This design would become visible when the CD is removed from the cover.

This is the back of the digi-pak. I created the Back cover first because I had a lot of idea of how to make it and my main inspiration was from a album cover by Plan B. I decided to put the text on the back of the cover on a piece of paper trying to simulate actual writing.

I think that using PhotoShop allowed me to make this task better because it offered me the chance to use industry software and also it was easier to manipulate pictures using this software.
